High-voltage wiring harnesses have the characteristics of high voltage/high current and large wire diameter. At the same time, since high voltage is easy to cause electromagnetic interference, high-voltage wiring harnesses generally use shielded wires. According to regulatory requirements, the outer layer of the high-voltage wiring harness insulation needs to be used in a striking orange color to serve as a warning.

Some people think that high-voltage wiring harnesses will be the blue ocean of the wiring harness industry, but due to the limitations of the wiring harness itself, there are still many limitations. ① The lightweight wiring harness leads to the continuous compression of the wiring harness. As an important component of the whole vehicle, the automotive wiring harness accounts for 2% of the total weight of the vehicle, and the weight of copper wires in the automotive wiring harness accounts for 75%, so the major wiring harness manufacturers are currently launching aluminum wire solutions. At the same time, the OEM should also be committed to the research and development of controller integration to reduce the design of wiring.
