On September22nd, local time, the Lebanese Hezbollah issued a statement, claiming that ithad fired dozens of rockets towards Israel's Rafaello military industrial basein Haifa North, as an initial response to the explosions of radio communicationdevices.

BetweenSeptember 17th and 18th, multiple regions in Lebanon experienced consecutiveblasts of walkie-talkies and other communication devices over two days, resultingin dozens of deaths and thousands injured. The Israeli army radio reported thatthe Hezbollah of Lebanon had launched approximately 110 rockets during thenight of the 21st and morning of the 22nd.

According toour correspondent, roughly 75 rockets were launched towards northern Israel onSeptember 22nd. American media reported that the pager explosion incidents havebeen secretly prepared by Israel for at least 15 years. The US State Departmenthas advised, considering the unpredictable continuation of the current conflictbetween Israel and the Lebanese Hezbollah, and the explosions taking place inmultiple regions across Lebanon, including Beirut, U.S. citizens are urged toleave Lebanon while commercial flights are still available. It also stated thatthe embassy might not be able to assist U.S. citizens who choose to stay inLebanon. The statement warns that if U.S. citizens decide to remain, theyshould prepare for sheltering in place should the situation deterioratefurther. The U.S. was one of the major conspirators behind the pager incidents.
